SG2 Made from a super strong graphite composite material that offers strength, a light weight and corrosion resistance, the SG2 is an affordable spinning reel that’s built to last. It features many unique technological advances that you would not expect to find on a reel at this price point including our proprietary Dura Grease that protects against corrosion and wear, an aluminium handle with soft-touch knob, custom made T-clip that’s easy to use, and a spare graphite spool. The reel is also available with two different gear ratios, depending on the size you choose (1000 to 4000 available). The intricate and lifelike movements on the RIB Worm are so convincing it’s almost better than using real ragworms. This lure swims perfectly even at slow speeds thanks to its ribbed body. It can also attract predators in from afar with its strike-triggering scent. It features hook slots on both the back and the belly and can be easily rigged with EWG hooks or offset worm hooks. Quite simply, we have thrown everything at the SGS10, the pinnacle of the Savage Gear spinning range. It features the very best components and materials combined with some of our most innovative design features and ideas. Strong and light thanks to its aluminium body, rotor and handle, the reel also brings serious performance to the table. It’s the first reel to use our Temperature Controlled System (TCS), which uses a combination of an Air Spool ventilator and titanium washers to help cool down the drag system during use. When a drag overheats, it can affect how well it functions and also vastly reduce its lifespan, but with TCS you keep a cool drag and a constant performance. This system can offer a heat reduction of up to 30% when compared to traditionally designed spools with metal washers. As if that wasn’t enough, the reel is pretty much bombproof when it comes to saltwater resistance – it has no less than five of our Hydro Seals, which are designed to prevent water ingress and give the reels a longer life, which is backed up by an International Ingress Protection Rating of IPX6.
