The Shakespeare Salt Pre-Spooled Spinning Reel is ready to use and is Ideal for the angler looking to get into saltwater fishing without spending a fortune. These reels are designed with a corrosion resistant graphite body and handle for maximum durability and reduction in weight. Each reel is fitted with 1 stainless steel ball bearing and a multi disc drag system for all the stopping power you would ever need. Each reel is also spooled with good quality clear monofilament nylon so you are ready to get started. The reels also include a graphite ergonomic handle for added comfort.

The Shakespeare SALT Surf reels are available in the two most popular surf sizes and both have been fitted with a large line capacity spool and spare spool. This allows you to cast the kinds of distance that you require to reach out far beyond the surf, reaching fish that lay past the breakers. The lightweight anodized aluminium spool is supported by a smooth operating drag system which allows you to lock down when casting. Next to that, the 7+1 stainless steel ball bearing system in combination with the strong gearing ensures you of a perfectly smooth operation. Due to the anti-twist line-roller the reels can handle all line types, whether you prefer mono or braid, this reel can handle it all.

Many fixed spool reels either come with no line clip or a line clip that is too small for the diameter of line most anglers use for shockleader. This simple, elasticated Spool Band fits around any fixed spool reel spool to keep the line tidy and managed.
