Quite simply, we have thrown everything at the SGS10, the pinnacle of the Savage Gear spinning range. It features the very best components and materials combined with some of our most innovative design features and ideas. Strong and light thanks to its aluminium body, rotor and handle, the reel also brings serious performance to the table. It’s the first reel to use our Temperature Controlled System (TCS), which uses a combination of an Air Spool ventilator and titanium washers to help cool down the drag system during use. When a drag overheats, it can affect how well it functions and also vastly reduce its lifespan, but with TCS you keep a cool drag and a constant performance. This system can offer a heat reduction of up to 30% when compared to traditionally designed spools with metal washers. As if that wasn’t enough, the reel is pretty much bombproof when it comes to saltwater resistance – it has no less than five of our Hydro Seals, which are designed to prevent water ingress and give the reels a longer life, which is backed up by an International Ingress Protection Rating of IPX6.

Built with a strong and lightweight aluminium body and a Carbon Reinforced Composite rotor, the reel is designed to deliver top performance time and time again. It also features 6+1 sealed steel ball bearings, a high-performance carbon drag system and our proprietary Dura Grease – all of which combine to help make the reel saltwater resistant, so you can rely on it every time.

SG2 Made from a super strong graphite composite material that offers strength, a light weight and corrosion resistance, the SG2 is an affordable spinning reel that’s built to last. It features many unique technological advances that you would not expect to find on a reel at this price point including our proprietary Dura Grease that protects against corrosion and wear, an aluminium handle with soft-touch knob, custom made T-clip that’s easy to use, and a spare graphite spool. The reel is also available with two different gear ratios, depending on the size you choose (1000 to 4000 available). SGS8 Tough saltwater fishing environments demand tough fishing tackle. So, how about a reel with a unique coating that easily withstood 500 hours of being sprayed with saltwater in testing? That’s our new SGS8, complete with SW500 coating. The reel is saltwater resistant in other ways too, including its sealed 8+1 steel ball bearings, sealed drag system and lightweight and strong aluminium body and Carbon Reinforced Composite rotor. Being able to withstand constant saltwater onslaughts isn’t this reel’s only quality, though. It also features our Friction Control System 3 drag system, which houses washers made in a three-layer design – a fibreglass layer with a carbon fibre layer on either side. This gives the washers unrivalled stiffness resulting in an ultra-smooth and powerful, fish-stopping drag – it also means they can be flipped over and used on either side to extend their lifespan.

The Daiwa Emblem Surf 45 SCW QD is a sturdy fixed spool surf reel which combines good looks and cutting edge features to give you a high performance reel to meet the needs of the modern beach angler. The extra-long 45mm spool is designed to give extra smooth line flow for long casting and it is just at home loaded with braid or mono line options. Daiwa have used their Mag sealed system to combat dirt and debris and protect the internal 'Digigear II' gearing system. These achieve fantastic casting and line lay thanks to the reduced oscillation speed 'Slow Cross Wrap', enhancing the line lay and distance.
