Carp Fishing Hooks

The Wide Gape Long Shank has been developed with the intention of creating the ultimate modern carp hook, combining key elements from the greatest fish catching patterns, for use on the most popular rigs around today. We started with a long shank hook, renowned for it’s hooking properties, we added to that a slight, but sweeping curve, this ensures the hook will turn in an instant once inside the carps mouth, putting it in the prefect hooking position. A wide gape was also required, to give the point as much chance of catching hold as possible. Finally, a beaked point to ensure that once hooked the hook remains in place and the chances of it pulling are reduced. Never have all these elements been combined in a carp hook and the result is deadly! These hooks are perfectly suited to Ronnie/Spinner rig presentations alongside all manner of different bottom bait and popup rigs.

The new “CARP CIRCLE HOOKS” have an angled ring eye that’s perfect for No Knots and Whipping Knots and an offset or reversed point. Available in sizes 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 with a PTFE coating in barbless only because they are so wonderfully efficient at both hooking and holding.

Designed for Ronnie / Spinner rigs and perfectly complement Cryogen Trig-Hammers. D-Sleeves create greater separation between the hook and pop-up for improved rig mechanics and better hook holds. The bait screw makes hook bait attachment easy and secure. The sleeve is a snug fit over the hook eye and swivel crook and makes changing the hook quick and easy. The Chod-Hammers incorporate some of the best key features of their bigger brother, the highly effective Trig-Hammer; crucially we have mirrored the point profile of the Trig’s across all the sizes, so the long fine needle points are incredibly sharp. The twin tempering process also means that although the points are very fine, they are also tough and durable. We have also mirrored the bend of the Trig to create a very strong shape. The heavy forging and correct tempering gives the Chod-Hammers the correct degree of spring making them highly unlikely to open or snap.
