The extreme light blank is made with a combination between 50T carbon and with the addition of Triaxial Multidirectional Weave Structure, PENN® accomplished to make a rod with incredible recovery speed, which truly shows on the casting distance.

A two-piece traditional style beachcaster designed for the angler who fishes in a variety of different conditions. The rod of choice if you’re fishing for big rays and cod in rocky ground and deep water, but equally at home fishing shallower beaches for flat fish, dogfish and whiting. The blank is powerful, especially in the butt and mid section. The tip retains plenty of sensitivity but is stiff enough that it won’t be affected by a big surf or tidal conditions. Designed to cast up to 250g, it can be cast conventionally with an overhead thump, to get the best from it, a pendulum style cast is required and having a good casting technique will get the most performance from this rod. Its optimum casting weight is 170g. The blank is constructed from 30ton Japanese carbon from Mitsubishi with Nano Graphene Matrix, a material that is a hundred times stronger than steel of the same thickness. It makes the rod ultra-light and gives excellent recovery when casting as well as increasing overall strength and bite sensitivity in the tip. The butt section is wrapped in a durable, rubber shrink wrap and comes with a Fuji DPS sliding reel seat so you can set the reel up in the right position for you. Fitted throughout with Fuji CC Framed KWAG guides, which help eliminate line twist to improve casting distances, they can also be used with a wide range of line diameters and are suitable for use with both multiplier and fixed spool reels.

The 14ft Fireblade looks and feels a lot like the 13ft model, but the extra length gives you a higher trajectory in the cast and more rod to store up and release that energy. The slim blank has uniform aesthetics to the shorter model with ATC black Delta guides, Century metal bands, a Fuji sliding DPS reel seat, EVA moveable collars, and premium Japanese shrink wrap. The tip is carbon and provides great bite detection, picking up small rattles. The rod has plenty of power in the blank, should you wish to target larger fish as the 13’ model also proved. It's another rod that offers a lot of versatility.

Daiwa 3 Piece Saltist Surf Rod - 14ft - Fixed Spool - 84-150g. From beach, rocks or pier, casting into the ‘surf’ always requires power. Harnessing the best performance from HVF and X45 ensures that these Saltist rods not only have that power but the torque busting resistance of X45 ensures you get the maximum return form effort. The Four&Bait is a proper beachcaster but the action has been softened down to allow you to get maximum performance from lighter sinkers. They make a great 'fun' rod for those occasions when you can get away with lighter leads and tackle so as to maximise your fishing enjoyment.

The FXD Series from ICON is a premium continental style rod which has been designed for the UK shore angler. They feature a spliced hybrid tip for improved sensitivity, however the butt and mid-section offer a stiffer progressive action then standard continental rods to produce immense casting capabilities. The tip sits nicely in the tide yet retains sensitivity to help you spot bites. Despite the blanks slim profile the rod has a good reserve of power to help you when playing larger fish and the FXD Elite makes a very nice all round shore rod which covers the needs of all but the harden rock angler.

This rod is available in our new and improved models as a mk2 version and at 13 and 14ft. We have designed the Four&Bait primarily for lighter beach fishing, when the requirements of a 6oz lead, clipped and whacked are not the order of the day.
